Description

In this privacy notice, we explain how personal data collected in the SaavutaÄly project is processed. We process personal data carefully and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

Personal data is collected, for example, in connection with event registration, participation, and project communications. The data is used solely for the implementation, development, monitoring, and reporting of the project to the funder.

Please read this notice carefully – it contains information about the data controller, the purposes of data processing, and your rights as a data subject.

The purpose of handling the personal information

This form collects information from individuals registering for the SaavutaÄly project learning platform available on the project website. The responses are used for reporting the project to the funder.

Regular data sources

Personal data is primarily collected via an electronic form available on the SaavutaÄly project website and LinkedIn page. The form may also be shared by the project implementers with stakeholders at various events and through digital communication channels.

Regular destinations of disclosed data

The data is intended for internal research and development purposes of the SaavutaÄly project as well as for ESF development work, and it is protected appropriately.

Data transfer outside EU and ETA

The data will not be disclosed to third parties. Personal data will not be transferred outside the EU or the EEA.

Protection of the register

The survey data is accessible only to those members of the SaavutaÄly project staff who require it to perform their duties. The management of the register complies with the data security and data protection guidelines of Laurea University of Applied Sciences. In addition, the project’s co-implementer, Humak University of Applied Sciences, follows the same data security and data protection guidelines to ensure the appropriate processing of personal data.

Access is restricted through network-level protections and user access rights. All connections to the system via public networks are always encrypted. The maintenance of the server environment is outsourced under written agreements, and the server hardware is located in a secure data center appropriate for the service provider’s intended use. Any manual materials are digitized and subsequently destroyed as secure waste. Data transfers between the project organizations are carried out using secure methods, such as encrypted email connections, to ensure data security.

Right of access

The rights of the data subject are defined in Articles 15–22 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

The data subject has the right to request access to their personal data. The request must be made in writing to the person responsible for the register. The request must specify which data it concerns.

Correction of the data and bringing it into effect

The data subject has the right to request rectification of their personal data by contacting the person responsible for the register.

Other rights conserning the personal information handling

The data subject has the right to withdraw their consent to the processing of their personal data and to object to the use of their personal data for marketing and communications purposes of Laurea University of Applied Sciences. The request can be made to the marketing contact person responsible for the register.

Restriction of processing:
The data subject has the right to restrict processing if:

the data subject contests the accuracy of the personal data, in which case processing is restricted for a period enabling the controller to verify the accuracy of the data

the processing is unlawful and the data subject opposes the erasure of the personal data and requests the restriction of its use instead

the controller no longer needs the personal data for the purposes of processing, but the data subject requires it for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims

Data portability:
The data subject has the right to receive their personal data, which they have provided to the controller, in a machine-readable format, where the processing is based on consent and carried out by automated means.

The contact person for matters related to the rights of the data subject is the Data Protection Officer. The data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority.
